Sometimes scouting pays off. I found this really interesting viewpoint about 25 miles from the entrance to Bryce Canyon but still in the general area. It’s a hidden little gem. It also happened to be a great night. Stormy with lightning to the southeast and south (one strike visible one through the trees center). As often happens on nights like these the airglow was especially strong. I have never really got strong airglow at Bryce till this night. I hope you enjoy this little gem, I really like the juxtaposition of all the elements in the photo I hope you will too! Please comment and ask questions!
Here’s a bonus scouting video of me finding this viewpoint and maybe it will give you an idea what I put vehicles through to find these shots for everyone.
Great photo. Like your work.
I was scrolling my Facebook news feed and saw an article via Fox 5 Atlanta highlighting your pictures of the Milky Way from Yellowstone. There are no words. I’m all about words, so that’s saying something without saying anything. Thank you for sharing with us the beauty we cannot see, even when we take the time to look.
David, would you mind if I share one or two of your photos on my Facebook page or on Google+ with attribution of course? Please let me know.
Sandra absolutely please share my stuff. Its great to let the world see what’s in the sky at night.
Just want to say your article is as astounding. The clarity on your post is simply nice and that i can assume you’re a professional on this subject. Fine along with your permission allow me to seize your feed to keep up to date with drawing close post. Thanks 1,000,000 and please continue the enjoyable work.
